What are the effects of the treatment?
The HIFU procedure is considered in aesthetic medicine as a lift without the intervention of a surgeon. The technology allows:
– restore firmness and tone to the skin of the face and body
– eliminate wrinkles and the first signs of skin aging
– reduce double chin
– reduce excess fat on the face and body
– improve facial oval
– rejuvenate your neckline
– contour the body
– get rid of sagging skin after pregnancy and lost pounds
Who is the treatment intended for?
This treatment is designed for people who want to effectively improve skin tone and eliminate visible signs of aging such as drooping eyelids and cheeks, accentuated nasolabial furrows, loss of facial oval. It is also dedicated to people who struggle with cellulite, localized fat accumulation in the face and body, and lack of skin firmness. HIFU technology can be used all year round, regardless of the sun exposure. This treatment is aimed at people who want a long-lasting and natural effect, which is achieved even after a single treatment. It does not require a recovery period, so active patients can return to their daily activities right away.
What does the procedure involve?
HIFU technology uses the action of focused high-intensity ultrasound, which, reaching particular depths of the skin, induces thermal and mechanical processes. The former sets the cells into vibration, as a result of which, under the influence of increased temperature, remodeling of the skin is created. The resulting damage influences the initiation of regenerative processes. Tissues begin to rebuild.Collagen fibers are constricted. Collagen and elastin are stimulated to synthesize. Highly concentrated ultrasound also acts on the superficial musculo-fascial system.
Before the procedure, ultrasound gel is applied to the cleansed skin surface. The doctor then applies the device’s head to the specified treatment area. To do this, it uses appropriately selected transducer tips that operate at different depths. They are selected individually according to the patient’s needs, anatomical structure and expected results.
Usually the procedure does not require anesthesia. Its duration ranges from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the body area. While it is in progress, the patient may feel gentle pricks and warmth. In people who are very sensitive and afraid of pain, we can precede the procedure with the application of an anesthetic ointment.
How will you feel after the treatment?
After the procedure is completed, the patient’s skin may be mildly red and swollen. The erythema usually persists until about 1h after the procedure. Note that the procedure itself does not break or damage the outer layers of the epidermis. This means that patients can quickly return to daily activities, apply makeup and continue their daily skin care.
Contraindications and side effects
Any medical procedure, including aesthetics, is fraught with the risk of side effects due to its invasiveness. The safety and comfort of the patient is our priority, so we make every effort to minimize risks at every step and immediately and professionally counteract possible complications. Exact information about each procedure, its course, preparation and possible side effects, is discussed at the consultation appointment preceding the procedure.
Contraindications to the procedure include:
– pregnancy and lactation period
– skin lesions and wounds occurring directly in the treatment area
– cancers
– active herpes
– the presence of metal parts and implants
How often should the treatment be repeated?
We can expect the intended effect after just one treatment. In patients who require more intensive stimulation, the attending physician may repeat the treatment procedure at the earliest about 6 months after the first treatment. The effect can last up to 3 years.
