What are the effects of the treatment?
Phenol peeling works on the deep layers of the skin, which brings the following results:
– shallowing of wrinkles (both expression and deeper)
– thickening and firming of the skin, which improves its elasticity and resilience
– improvement of facial oval
– reduction of hyperpigmentation, age spots and other pigmentation defects
– smoothing of the skin and improvement of its texture
– rejuvenation – the skin becomes more radiant.
Who is the treatment intended for?
The phenol peel is designed for people with mature skin that exhibits:
– wrinkles and fine lines
– skin sagging
– hyperpigmentation due to aging and sun exposure
The phenol peel is ideal for people who want to achieve significant results with a single procedure and at the same time can afford 7-10 days of recovery.
What does the procedure involve?
The procedure begins with degreasing and disinfecting the skin. Phenolic acid is then applied several times to the area in order to achieve epidermal confluence (so-called frosting). The acid applied in this way is left on the skin, there is no need for washing or neutralization. After the procedure, there is swelling of the skin, and then the epidermis takes on a dark color after which it cracks and peels off exposing new epidermis. Recovery time after the procedure is 7-10 days.
How will you feel after the treatment?
Phenol peeling is a deep procedure and is performed under local anesthesia, and the patient may experience a brief burning sensation and skin tightness during the procedure.
After the procedure, swelling and redness are possible, as well as intense peeling of the skin within a few days. In order to reduce pain after the procedure, it is recommended to take oral painkillers.
Contraindications and side effects
Any medical procedure, including aesthetics, is fraught with the risk of side effects due to its invasiveness. The safety and comfort of the patient is our priority, so we make every effort to minimize risks at every step and immediately and professionally counteract possible complications. Exact information about each procedure, its course, preparation and possible side effects, is discussed at the consultation appointment preceding the procedure.
The main contraindications are:
– heart disease
– pregnancy and breastfeeding
– active skin infections (e.g., herpes, acne)
– skin inflammation
– autoimmune diseases

How often should the treatment be repeated?
Phenol peeling is a deep treatment with long-lasting effects, so it is usually performed once or very rarely – every few years, depending on the condition of the skin. It does not require regular repetitions, as with other, more superficial chemical peels.
